California Poppy Tincture

California Poppy Tincture

AU$33.00Price

For ease + calm through anxious times :::

One of the first herbs that wanted to be planted at Seed Medicine Garden back in 2020 we are grateful to work with this native of Turtle Island. Every Spring, their bright presence and stoic return brings so much joy and as a medicinal tincture they offer us some mild sedative and hypnotic qualities (non-addictive unlike their opium poppy cousin) – working as a muscle relaxant, easing psychological tension, relieving pain and assisting with insomnia by regulating better sleep patterns as well as being an immense ally for anxiety + depression.

California Poppy may also support relief with guts issues, menstrual cramps, hyperactive children, bedwetting + stress-related issues (asthma attacks, stress headaches).

Accounts of working with this tincture have said to bring about a feeling of expansiveness and ease, like you are lazing safely in dappled sunlight in a meadow... As well as an almost immediate sense of calm and an overwhelming sense that – “everything is going to be okay” - a reassurance many of us may need through these tumultuous times of change.

Suggested Use: Take up to 20 drops, up to 3 times a day during times of particular anxiety or stress, or just before as a preventative to maintain a calm baseline. Alcohol based tincture is most gentle when drops are taken added to a glass of water or tea.

CAUTION: Do not take during pregnancy or when lactating/breastfeeding.

Ingredients: organically grown CALIFORNIA POPPY (Eschscholzia californica), vodka (60%)

50ml

Please remember: while these plant medicines are crafted with intentions to support you through times of trauma or stress, they are not meant to replace community support or a good doctor/therapist. If you need help, please seek it. You deserve it.

  • What is Mutual Aid? Who am I "paying forward" to?

In our attempt to make plant medicines more accessible for all, Seed Medicine Garden sends regular free medicine donations to communities as needs arise. In the past this has included Indigenous activists, youth leaders and trans youth, as well as homeless single mothers, refugees and members of the disabled community.

When you "pay forward" 1 or 2 products, you will still receive one (or selected quantity) of your chosen medicine as well as donating the credit for 1 or 2 products to go towards our herbal mutual aid projects.

There seems to be an increasing call for plant support through these times and we are continually seeking pathways to those who need it most. Please contact us: connect@seedmedicine.garden if you or a community you know is without financial means but needing herbal care.
