Cornflower - 'Black Ball'
(Centaurea cyanus)
From the wildflower meadows of Europe, this traditionally beloved cornflower blooms in a dark, moody tone of deep burgundy/almost black (dries black). A mysterious addition to the garden.
Edible fresh or dried petals can adorn both sweet and savoury food. Cornflower has a deep folklore and history as a medicinal tea herb and cut flower.
