Flaming Hag Torch

Flaming Hag Torch

AU$27.00Price

The original flaming torch, used throughout millennia

to light your way through the darkness :::
Also known as a Witches Candle, Hags Taper, Mullein Torch, Jupiters Rod,
King’s Candle, Candlewick Plant and more, this torch is simply a dried Mullein flower stalk (grown and tended at the farm over 2 years) dipped in beeswax (local, natural, unrefined), adorned with friends Rose and Yarrow for some extra magic.
Burn atop a hill on Winter's Solstice or adorn your altar/home and weird out your family until the moment calls for them to be lit!
Maybe
that’ll be on Halloween/All Hallow’s Eve or Lunar New Year when the veils between worlds are most thin, maybe on an ancestor’s death anniversary, maybe for a special gathering/celebration, maybe to energetically cleanse a new house, maybe to read poetry by at night, or maybe to light your home during a power outage from floods/storms/any number of ongoing climate disasters. Whenever you choose to do so, may this BRIGHT light bring that old magic into your life while reminding you what lights you up, what lights a fire within you and what gifts you possess which illuminate our world.

Suggested Use: Cut the top off the torch to reveal some dried stalk to light (the ‘wick’) It may take a minute to get going but you’ll know once she is lit! Gentle warning: this is a flaming TORCH – NOT just a candle – she will burn fierce.Best to stand securely in a candle holder or a glass bottle with water nearby. Burns approximately 10 mins for every inch.If not used entirely in one session, dip the end into water and you can relight another time when light is needed.

Ingredients: MULLEIN STALK (Verbascum lapsus) dipped in Kangaroo Island/Karta Pintingga beeswax adorned with ROSE (Rosa damascena) and YARROW (Achillea millefolium)
– all organic and/or organically grown

  • What is Mutual Aid? Who am I "paying forward" to?

In our attempt to make plant medicines more accessible for all, Seed Medicine Garden sends regular free medicine donations to communities as needs arise. In the past this has included Indigenous activists, youth leaders and trans youth, as well as homeless single mothers, refugees and members of the disabled community.

When you "pay forward" 1 or 2 products, you will still receive one (or selected quantity) of your chosen medicine as well as donating the credit for 1 or 2 products to go towards our herbal mutual aid projects.

There seems to be an increasing call for plant support through these times and we are continually seeking pathways to those who need it most. Please contact us: connect@seedmedicine.garden if you or a community you know is without financial means but needing herbal care.
