St John's Wort/Hypericum Oil
Bringing the magic of Solstice to ease your pain + woes:::
Ethically wildcrafted on Summer Solstice, these sunny yellow blooms transform clear oil to an astounding blood red colour. This red is caused by hypericin being extracted from the plant – the magical constituent responsible for its analgesic/pain relief properties. When applied topically, St Johns Wort is so phenomenal at easing pain, especially when caused by stress and nervous tensions and has a particular affiliation with the sciatica and nerves along the spine. As well as helping to ease nerve pain (neuralgia or shingles), rheumatoid arthritis pain, low back pains and menstrual pains. Hypericum oil also offers support for wounds, burns, sunburn, bruises, haemorrhoids, herpes and coldsores. May this oil be a medicine you can turn to often when in need of first aid recovery or support in bringing ease to your body.
Suggested Uses:
MASSAGE: for self care/community care, massage anywhere that needs some tender loving care.
NECK/BACK/SCIATICA PAIN: Massage oil into painful, achey, strained muscles, tense necks, sore lower backs and along the spine + sciatica for chronic sciatica issues.
NERVE PAIN/MENSTRUAL PAIN: Apply tenderly wherever and whenever needed to bring ease.
BURNS: Apply oil to sunburn or burns 24 HOURS after initial burn, avoid open wounds
HAEMORRHOIDS: Apply directly onto haemorrhoids multiple times a day until relief (+ up your water intake and get enough sleep)
HERPES VIRUS/COLDSORES: At first sign of the ‘coldsore tingle’ apply oil 3 times a day until gone. Or if coldsore or herpes have already emerged then apply oil 3 times a day until they’ve subsided.

Please remember: while these plant medicines are crafted with intentions to support you through times of trauma or stress, they are not meant to replace community support or a good doctor/therapist. If you need help, please seek it. You deserve it.
What is Mutual Aid? Who am I "paying forward" to?
In our attempt to make plant medicines more accessible for all, Seed Medicine Garden sends regular free medicine donations to communities as needs arise. In the past this has included Indigenous activists, youth leaders and trans youth, as well as homeless single mothers, refugees and members of the disabled community.
When you "pay forward" 1 or 2 products, you will still receive one (or selected quantity) of your chosen medicine as well as donating the credit for 1 or 2 products to go towards our herbal mutual aid projects.
There seems to be an increasing call for plant support through these times and we are continually seeking pathways to those who need it most. Please contact us: connect@seedmedicine.garden if you or a community you know is without financial means but needing herbal care.
