Soft Heart, Strong Heart: Tea Blend

AU$20.00Price

A warming floral + citrus note tea blend to support our hearts physically and emotionally through 'these times' :::
When I dreamt of making a blend for the heart, all of these herbs made themselves known to me immediately and their beautiful collaboration is only further highlighted by the delight they bring to the tea cup. From the visual warmth of deep pink they produce together to the tangy joy in that first sip, this is a very enjoyable cup. Rose, Tulsi and Hawthorn all have traditions in folk herbalism for toning and strengthening the heart with their continual use. Hawthorn has been proven to dilate arteries, bring down high blood pressure and normalise heart function (helpful with angina or irregular heart beats) and is a highly recommended preventative herb for anyone with family history of heart disease to use longterm. Tulsi is a powerful adaptogen, increasing the body’s natural resistance to stress + disease by acting as a tonic to all our body systems, modulating our immune systems, strengthening heart health, balancing cortisol and uplifting moods. And beloved Rose is not only a revered cardiac toner with anti-oxidant + anti-depressive qualities but also affiliated with energetic heart medicine for emotionally and spiritually opening and healing our hearts – something all of our hearts may need after these last years! Lemon Verbena and Rosella are both high in anti-oxidants, bringing the refreshing acidity to the tea as well as greater hormone balance which helps our bodies with chronic stress… As tonics, the benefits of all these herbs are best felt when taken regularly over time, making them perfect for regular, daily tea rituals. And while all these herbs offer us so much medicine, the very act of making a tea for yourself or sharing a pot with someone you love is some of the greatest heart medicine there is. So boil the kettle and may your heart remain soft and strong through the tumult dear ones, your tenderness is as needed in the world as your strength.

  • What is Mutual Aid? Who am I "paying forward" to?

In our attempt to make plant medicines more accessible for all, Seed Medicine Garden sends regular free medicine donations to communities as needs arise. In the past this has included Indigenous activists, youth leaders and trans youth, as well as homeless single mothers, refugees and members of the disabled community.

When you "pay forward" 1 or 2 products, you will still receive one (or selected quantity) of your chosen medicine as well as donating the credit for 1 or 2 products to go towards our herbal mutual aid projects.

There seems to be an increasing call for plant support through these times and we are continually seeking pathways to those who need it most. Please contact us: connect@seedmedicine.garden if you or a community you know is without financial means but needing herbal care.
