(Lathyrus odoratus) This stunning sweet pea develops wavy, crepe paper petals of scarlet red with showy white streaks and large, fragrant blooms on long, strong stems. Allow this trailing climber to enrobe your fence, trellis or archway in floral mystique for a divine garden and cut flower companion. Part of the Streamer family bred by renowned plant breeder Dr. Keith Hammett (Aotearoa, NZ).

Life Cycle: Annual

Height: to 2m. Climber, will need trellis support

Position: Full Sun / Part Sun

Pre-treatment: optional, soak seed in water overnight.

Sow: 25 mm deep

Spacing: 15cm

Tropical climates: Late Summer/Autumn
Sub-tropical climates: Autumn
Temperate climates: Autumn
Cold climates: Spring or Late Summer-mid Autumn (frost tolerant up to -4C)
Germination: 10-21 days.  

Notes: Pick regularly to prolong flowering. Do not over-water. Protect young seedlings from slugs, snails and aphids.
